Should You Get a Magic Bullet Blender?

If you are considering getting a Magic Bullet Blender, you can get the information you need to make your decision right here in a quick, concise form.

The Magic Bullet Blender has been around since 2004, and it really changed the market when it came out. Its design, patents, and concept was totally unique and designed for simplicity and ease of use.

By 2007, in fact, the Magic Bullet became the world's best-selling kitchen appliance.

After that initial success other Bullet Blenders were developed, including the Magic Bullet To Go, the Bullet Express, the Party Bullet, the Baby Bullet, and the Nutri Bullet. Each of the new appliances have their own unique twists, but at base they all share the innovative Magic Bullet foundation.

The Bullet Blenders Stand Apart

There are two main things which make the Magic Bullet stand apart from the rest. These are its well thought-out design to make it so easy and convenient to use, and also its effectiveness.

For one, it hardly takes up any space. At about 4 inches by 4 inches and 10 inches tall, it hardly takes up more space than a big cup. Compared to other blenders that is remarkable.

The Magic Bullet also cuts down dramatically on your prep and washing up time. The same cup that you drink your smoothie in, or sprinkle your Parmesan cheese from, is the same one in which you blended or grated it. You can even microwave your ingredients before or after in the same containers. So there is basically only one small, light container to wash, along with the blade.

All you do is change the screw on tops - put on blades, storage lids, steam vents, sprinkler lids, drinking lips - all on the same receptacle. You don't have to pour stuff from one receptacle to another and pile up dishes. It is so quick and convenient.

To clean the blade, all you have to do is scrub it under a running tap for no more than 10 seconds. It is so easy.

Some Criticisms of the Bullet Blender

While the Magic Bullet is amazing, there are also some negative points as well which should be acknowledged and taken into consideration.

One is that the motor of the Magic Bullet runs at a maximum of 250 Watts. For most ordinary people, that is fine, but some more advanced users may want more powerful motors for emulsifying, for instance.

Others have complained of the opposite problem: that its motor is too powerful for tasks such as chopping onions. On TV it looks pretty simple. However, in real life people have had problems with some parts being really mushy and others being hardly cut at all. The same criticism has been said of its ice crushing capability.

This is a matter of knowing how to skilfully use it for those more delicate and advanced purposes. The reason why you have to develop that skill is that the Magic Bullet has only one speed. The way you change the intensity is by pulsing the motor, meaning pressing down on it for very short intervals.

For those that want the advanced controls of a variable speed blender, or a high powered food processor, the Magic Bullet may be limited and not appropriate. Be warned.

Others have complained about the difficulty of getting replacement parts, but it appears that Amazon now has a wide selection of very inexpensive parts available.

Where To Get Bullet Blenders

The best place to get a Bullet Blender is probably Amazon. They ship everywhere, have a wide selection, and often give you the best prices online.

You can get different packages, ranging from 17 to 26 piece sets.

The Magic Bullet itself is no different. You just get extra attachments with some packages, like a juicer, ice shaver, pitcher, or travel mugs.

The standard package is sufficiently incredible, in my opinion, and I have no problem in urging you to get one for yourself.
